Turns out that someone wrote "BOB" on a barf bag. Someone saw the bag, showed an FA. The captain decided this meant "Bomb on Board" and turned the 747 around. (There was a Senior American diplomat on board and they were taking special measures for their security).

Thoughts?

Funny story here, from back in my days with UAL in 99. Had a ticked off passenger because the flight had a very long delay and he was going to miss his connection. DumbA$$ used the seat back AIRPHONE to call in a bomb threat. Needles to say the LAX police and FBI knew exactly were that call came from.

There's this guy named Bob and he just likes to make sure that nobody else uses his barf bag.

okay?
