I had my first opportunity to non-rev on "West" metal today, and I must say it was a pleasure. Eventhough the flight was oversold and they were very busy, the agents made a point of letting me know that they were trying to make sure that I could at least get a jumpseat (apparently, west flights take the cabin jumpseat(s) in consideration for weight & balance). I was given a jumpseat shortly before departure time, and was on my way. The Airbus A/C was spotless - although the crew said they thought it was one of older and shabbier former West A/C (clearly they haven't been on an East A/C recently). The crew was GREAT! So, a big THANK YOU to the PHX ground staff and crew of flt. 304!
