yes but there is allot of 737-800's i.e. TZI don't think there are many used, one-owner 737-700's out there.
WN's to cheap to put the -800 in it's fleet. They would have to put another FA on it.yes but there is allot of 737-800's i.e. TZ
The extra F/A is not the problem. The way WN operates now if a -770 has a mechanical you can put a -300 on it and still take all of the passengers that the -700 was supposed to carry. If -800 would have a mechanical and you put a -700 on it you would still leave close to 50 passengers behind. So basically that would mean only a -800 could cover a broken -800 and doing that would cause WN to lose some of their efficiencyWN's to cheap to put the -800 in it's fleet. They would have to put another FA on it.
I would love to see at least 20 more planes come in to the fleet. The expansion would be awesome. The need for new and additional nonstop service is pretty good right now for SWA. IF SWA were to go with more than 20, I could see a new city or 2 come online. What is EASYJET's replacement schedule looking like? They have almost 40 -700s to get rid of. With each of the 6 cities mentioned by Kelly there are so many possibilities. DEN to SEA/PDX/OAK/SAN -- LAS to FLL/DTW/JAX/RSW -- RDU to LAX/STL/HOU -- RNO to HOU/MCO/STL/MCI/BWI -- MDW to ONT/BUR/JAX/GEG/TUL/OKC -- MSY to LAX/SAN/MCI/STL/DEN and so many more.............
I sure hope so. That rumour has been flying around for a while. We are expanding into the Bravo gates in LAS is why the rumour made sense.Hey RAMPER - LAS will NOT expand by even 12 more flights this year. SWA does not have the a/c in line to do that. If I had a penny for every rumor I heard, I'd be retired by a few years. Rampers and Pilots do come up with the best rumors though.
