The 4th Annual Maintenance Skills Competition will be held next month and Southwest Airlines AMTs will return to defend their 1st Place Award from last year. I wish the WNO team the best and thank Southwest for their sponsoring an APU Event. I was honored to have met the 2010 team and look forward to meeting the 2011 Team.

Southwest Airlines took 1st Place for a second year in a row in the Commercial Category in the AMTSociety's 4th Annual MSC. They also had the lowest overall score from among the 26 teams that competed this year and in doing so received the William F. O'Brien Award for Excellence in Aircraft Maintenance!

The Southwest Team were an outstanding example of professionalism and it was my honor to have met them all. Southwest also provided an APU event which was VERY creative thanks to Kyle and Scott. Congratulations to Southwest Airlines AMTs! I hope you can return next year and go for the "threepeat".
