Smoking Nazis?

I am curious about Alaska's hiring policy that they will not hire smokers. Why is that? I am somewhat surprised that is even legal. I mean, if the flight attendant does not smoke in public (while in uniform), what is the big deal? Could a new hire lie and say he/she does not smoke, or do they actually test for nicotine????

Can't smoke cigs, but weed is OK.

Interesting that none of the 'powers that be' (U know, prez, vp, CEO, CFO, etc...) are never subjected to pee in a cup even though they have the most power to make life altering changes that will affect billions of people.
