Polling data show that Mr. Obama's approval rating is dropping and is below where George W. Bush was in an analogous period in 2001.

Eighty-three percent say they are worried that the steps Mr. Obama is taking to fix the economy may not work and the economy will get worse.

Support for the stimulus package is dropping from narrow majority support to below that.

And by 2-to-1, voters reject House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's call for a second stimulus package.

The survival of the republican party (in it's current state) seems to be dependent on the failure of Obama. The trick for the republicans is assist in his failure with out looking like they are assisting. People may be getting sick of the extreme fringes of both parties. Coulters latest book sales have dropped substantially. Perhaps this is an indication that people are learning that the fringe (dem or Rep) is not the rational place to be.
