Well since Mesa is the only ones with CRJ 900's....I guess we can all see where this is going.

That is great MDT getting more mainline. Why can't they fly a CRJ into RDG to CLT 2x a day. They will make money, people here hate traveling to PHL, ABE and MDT. WN does a charter twice a month to Orlando from RDG. And a 6350 ft. runway IS sufficient for service. I'd fly US at any price if they return, and I am sure others would too. Wachovia would have some interest in RDG-CLT. As well as Sovereign Bank .

air wisconsin operates some 900s too but this is indeed great news that some cities are getting some mainline flights

Air Wisconsin doesn't operate any 900's. The only 900 operator US has is mesa......

are you sure? ive seen some 900s in BWI on sats and sundays over the last few months. i though air wisconsin operated some 900s w mesa

Air Wiskey owns only CRJ200's.

It hasn't been mentioned, but with Mesa in BK US can't just drop their contract. So those CRJ900's that won't be operating the flights to ILM, etc, will just be flying somewhere else - possibly wherever the mainline planes that will be flying those flights are operating now.

firstly US doesn't operate many 733's out a clt...and i check all the destinations no one lost mainline flights they are just adding service.....idk where the planes are coming from.

According to Mesa's SEC filings, US can reduce Mesa flying by one plane during the first 6 months of this year (and may already have done that since they'd notified Mesa of the intent to do so) and another in the 2nd half. Don't know about beyond this year.

That's odd considering that CLT is by far the biggest 737 crew base on the East side (and may be bigger than PHX). All those 737 crews have to start and end their trips somewhere and most should be in CLT.

I count 10 legs being eliminated which would probably be 1 a/c worth of daily flights.

a lot of 734's

All of us at ILM are excited to see mainline return daily in September. In fact, on Saturday's we will have three mainline departures.!

The only bad news is that we are missing the "Summer Season" tourist who flock to the Carolina beaches. Perhaps we will steal more golfers away from MYR this fall.

San Francisco also gets a 5th daily mainline flight to Charlotte in September. Indianapolis goes from 1.5 mainline to 2.5 mainline flights to Charlotte
