Marriage is the cornerstone on which our society was founded. For those who say that the Constitution is so sacred that we cannot or should not adopt the Federal Marriage Amendment, I would simply point out that marriage, and the sanctity of that institution, predates the American Constitution and the founding of our nation.

en. Ensign Acknowledges an Extramarital Affair

Sen. John Ensign (Nev.), considered a rising star in the Republican Party, yesterday acknowledged an extramarital affair with a former campaign staffer who is married to one of the lawmaker's former legislative aides.

I guess marriage is not that sacrosanct after all. Who'd have thought that?

What affair did Frank have? He has been openly gay since who knows when. As far as I am aware, he has not been on the 'marriage is sacred' train. What office did Letterman run for and when was the last time he got up and said that marriage is the cornerstone of anything? He was living with his girl friend for 20 years before they got married. I think marriage was not really a big deal there.

The point is that another republican who condemns others for doing what he him self has been doing has been caught living a lie.

What affair did Frank have?

Frank had an affair with the IRS while writing tax laws for us common folk. Frank and a few of his powerful, wealthy inner-circle friends (D) cherish the orgasms experienced while prison raping us common folk. Get it ?

Ensign’s actions have exposed him as a hypocrite. Frank and company have been exposed as criminals. Which one will get decommissioned first?

This is part of something bigger: THE NINTH CIRCUIT NIGHTMARE.

Perhaps it is all just coincidence, but I do find it very odd. Last Wednesday, Senator John Ensign introduced a bill to split the Ninth Circuit. The very next day, he wound up on the front page of the New York Times — for possible ethics violations regarding his affair.

The careers of many politicians elected from the Ninth Circuit who have backed proposals to split the Ninth Circuit have found unwanted trouble, often ending their career. Here is a list:

John Ensign
Larry Craig
Ted Stevens
Slade Gorton
Conrad Burns
Frank Murkowski
Lisa Murkowski
Duke Cunningham
Gordon Smith
Mike Renzi
