Officials say a security threat forced a Boston-bound airplane to turn around and return to a South Florida airport.
American Airlines Flight 1640 departed Miami International Airport around 9:30 Thursday night but returned about 45 minutes later.
Airport spokesman Greg Chin said early Friday that a note had been found in one of the plane's bathrooms saying a possible explosive device might be on board.
