Been perusing the May 13 timetable (which finally came out in print!) and discovered something kind of weird--perhaps bubbleboy, sfb, or one of you other 'insiders' can explain to me the reasoning behind it. Here 'tis:
There are two flights leaving PHX at the same time (11:05), and both are one-stop direct flights to DAL. Flight 43 is routed PHX-OKC-DAL, while flight 367 makes it's legally obligatory stop at SAT before continuing on to Love. Flight 43 arrives DAL five minutes after flight 367 (4:35/4:30).
The strange thing is that the timetable shows 367 as a PHX-DAL option, but not 43.
Why does the timetable show one but not the other? Why not show them both, especially since their arrival times are so close?
I stumbled on this when I noticed that 43 is listed as a 3-stop direct to CRP from PHX.
Since three-stoppers have become exceedingly rare in recent WN schedules, I was curious as to this flight's routing (turns out to be PHX-OKC-DAL-HOU-CRP, and they don't offer it as a PHX-HOU 2-stop option either).
Anyway, just wondering why not list all direct flights as options?
