US Airways will also begin new nonstop service between BWI and Miami, as well as Fort Myers-Columbus, Ohio, service. All new Florida flights will operate each Saturday using 126-seat Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
"Approximately 25 percent of travel from the Northeast is to Florida, and these new routes and fares support that demand," said Andrew P. Nocella, US Airways vice president of network and revenue management. "Florida point-to-point flying plays an important role in our Transformation Plan, and we look forward to even more expansion to this highly popular region of the country."
