Renewed violence in Somalia (The Washington Times)

At least six people died Thursday in Somalia as Ethiopian-backed government troops battled insurgent clans. The BBC reported that Ethiopian helicopters fired on a market south of Mogadishu and hundreds of insurgents with machine guns and rocket launchers were fighting Ethiopian troops.
