Would someone please explain what the company wants from its 4 major unions by tomorrow? Is it even possible for the MECs to pass a resolution that includes everything that the company says they want and will include in their 1113e filing of tomorrow? Is it a dead issue? a moot point? a fay dee complete?
It just doesn't seem possible that any of the 4 will come out of an all night session tomorrow morning and announce that they have voted for a temporary wage reduction and, in the case of ALPA to allow the company to furlough out of seniority.
I don't hold the current or previous management teams infallible but the idea of giving this totally undoable deadline would seem to reveal some really major strategy problems on the part of the company.
And any guesses on how long before any 1113e is actually implemented? I'm guessing that with the "e" identifier it would be something that could be completed and in place in the course of either 1 day or at the longest maybe by Monday.
