Would someone please explain what the company wants from its 4 major unions by tomorrow? Is it even possible for the MECs to pass a resolution that includes everything that the company says they want and will include in their 1113e filing of tomorrow? Is it a dead issue? a moot point? a fay dee complete?

It just doesn't seem possible that any of the 4 will come out of an all night session tomorrow morning and announce that they have voted for a temporary wage reduction and, in the case of ALPA to allow the company to furlough out of seniority.

I don't hold the current or previous management teams infallible but the idea of giving this totally undoable deadline would seem to reveal some really major strategy problems on the part of the company.

And any guesses on how long before any 1113e is actually implemented? I'm guessing that with the "e" identifier it would be something that could be completed and in place in the course of either 1 day or at the longest maybe by Monday.

Why is the Company doing this????? Because the UNIONS did not contest the POR in the first BK. They (UNIONS) helped to create these problems because of their silence in the first BK.

GIVE ME A BREAK. RJS were going to lower cost???? YEA right!!! JUST the wages!!!

The UNIONS SHOULD HAVE PROTESTED IN BK1.

Not a major strategy problem on the part of the company. More like the exact strategy they had all along. They know the contracts as well, if not better, than the unions. They knew going in that the contracts all have some minimum voting period for ratification and/or changes--usually 30 days. I don't know the UAIR contracts, but I suspect there is no really legal way for the unions to sign off on major concessions like this by tomorrow. At best, the MECs could approve the "TA" and send it out for voting, but you still wouldn't know for 30 days whether or not the membership went along with it. The company doesn't care whether the unions are on board or not.

There is no way in the IAM.

Has to be voted on by the membership.

The company is already making monkeys out of every single employee on the property. How is that you ask? Because the employees sit by and let the company walk all over them. You have an out of control manager in Pit who went so far as assault an employee. You have management managing by sheer intimation and threats of being fired. My foremen actually HATES his superiors now because all he hears is threats with NO answers to problems. I guess employees don't own mirrors to see who is the monkey because they are letting this madness continue instead of all sticking together in 100% unity and making a solid stand to throw out management or close the doors. Everyone can see what is happening and has been happening therefore anyone to B-I-T-C-H at this point is ridiculous when you knew the story of being an U employee and what it means, being S-H-I-T on daily.

I don't really want to distract anyone from the fingerpointing, but apropos of the thread topic, has anything happened this morning?

Hmm, I thought you moved on and were no longer an employee of US Airways.

Are you being dishonest?

Jim,

Nothing has happened as of yet, you can check the following web page for the motions filed in court.

US Airways Bankruptcy Case.

700UW and attention Moderators: This guy who believes he sees and knows all insists he KNOWS my personal business, when in fact is totally clueless as to what my life "is".

I stand by my statement here and if I wasn't worried about getting him, “foremanâ€￾ into trouble, would name him. These foremen are called to meetings and then lectured to and NOT allowed to respond least they are shouted down and threatened with termination. This is hard solid truth and fact. The managers and directors are all putting extreme pressure on their subordinates to do as they say without question, FACT.

Heavy maintenance in Pit is very much is question therefore the management in charge is scared to death and making life hell for all the foremen insisting on strict discipline actions, terminations, and occurrences for being one second late for reporting to your shift, FACT. The employees are living under duress, it’s a hostile work environment and why, like I started in another thread, the employees put up with this is beyond my simple minded comprehension, fear MUST be working I would conclude.

700UW: My life is MY business and NOT yours. You have zero accurate information with what my life "is" and therefore I am publicly requesting you to cease and desist your moronic remarks immediately. The moderators have been alerted to this in the past, it is on record.

You have posted numerous times you are not an employee and you left the company, that is on record.

Now you posted your foreman said.

If you post it on the board for people to read and then you contradict yourself it is open to debate.

Next time I suggest you don't post information on the boards that you don't want people to know.

And YOU posted the information on the boards, do you I have to go back and copy your own postings?

I don't really care what the hell you do.

You are ten different people all mixed into 7000UW and this everyone knows.

I am a U employee, it's on the record, the only thing that has left in my spirit. I will be like NFS, gone completely in short order. You on the other hand will stay and cry woe is me and do nothing about it blaming the world for your trials. Unless you can convince the unions brothers to ALL stand united, it’s over. Given your personality, it’s over because that you will never accomplish.
