Question about this UA A-320 N410UA ?

Saw and photographed UA A-320 N410UA yesterday and while I understand putting an orange Ted winglit on the aircraft was I am sure done to return the aircraft to service quickly, all airlines do this sometimes, I was surprised after doing a photo search that it has been flying since at least September like this. The orange is visible from the cabin as well, how big a job is is to either paint the winglit blue or swap out the winglit with a regular mainline painted one ? Just interested, no anti UA thread here, I like you guys !

I imagine that aircraft will eventually be a TED plane. TED adds 8 more airbii this year.
