"Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said negotiators are still looking for revenue alternatives. Asked during an interview with The Associated Press if they included tax increases on families with incomes less than $250,000 a year, Schumer said, "There are lots of things on the table now."

Also noted, higher tabbaco tax already implemented and higher taxes on alcohol, both widely used by lower and middle class! And if CAP N' TRADE is passed, watch your gas, oil and electric bills go through the roof !

Nope not gonna happen. Obama said it so it must be so. Just like he said he wasnt going to:

Hire lobbyists (and then did via "waivers")
No earmarks....and then signed a pork filled spending package.

Nope not gonna happen.... :huh:

at this point it no longer matters , even if the federal goverment doesn't raise taxes , you shall see just about every state goverment raise taxes , one way or another ....

These things happen as econmies die ...
