Today I received my pink slip. Hire date 1981 with a classification date of 1983.
Good luck to all who remain. It was a good ride but I'm looking forward to moving on.
Best to all of you !!!!!!!!!!! :)

You will be fine like the ones before you...best wishes!

I sense your relieved and from what I'm hearing, more and more would rather be in your shoes. Now you know what you must do. Make sure you take advantage of all governmental programs available to you. You must be persistent to gain all that is available. Each state provides different programs and others I have known have re-educated themselves since 911 and have great careers AGAIN.

Best to you and yours...

totobird: I wish you all the best, my friend. I look at it as a "new chapter" in this upsy daisy life we live. I pray you find what you want to do and move on to greener pastures. As many have said on these boards...there is life after U.

Best of luck....kt :)

Thanks for all the encouragement. I do appreciate the kind thoughts.

I work in PIT and was given 3 options.
1. Take the Furlough
2. Go part time
3. Transfer to another city

Thanks again, ToTo

I know it doesn't seem like right now, or even next week, but the emotional load off of you will pick you up.

good luck...theres a bit of that in there too.

Best of luck to you..and what a sense of relief!

I'm still waiting and waiting and waiting for my nbr to come up....

I know of at least one manager in PIT who got a seperation package today while at work. Shame to he was an easy guy to get along with. <_<
