ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A grainy YouTube video surfaced Wednesday showing Sarah Palin being blessed in her hometown church three years ago by a Kenyan pastor who prayed for her protection from “witchcraftâ€￾ as she prepared to seek higher office.

FOX so it must be true

I'm betting McCain wished he would have vetted his running mate right about now.

Your hatred is eating you from inside out...it's doing nothing but destroying you and not Palin or JM.

I still say JM will be the next president at which point you can have a complete meltdown.

Hey, everyone has to have a dream. McCain's dream of being POTS seems to be sailing away with out him and that ding-bat of a running mate is at the helm.

And your "association" of FEAR by those Black non White radicals ...reeks of "Willy Horton" commercials.

ALL of whom have NOTHING to do with Obama except your fantasy of FEAR of Non White radicals. If the stench of racism smells like a bigot...well, you know the drill.

Duh....hey ace.....they are not all black.

Oh hell...I forgot to add Bill Ayers and Ms.Dorhn, couple of honkeys.

No, but none of them qualify for country club membership either. They are all non-white, by the classic racist definition. No one on your lists ever seems to be.

By the way, there is no e in honky.

BTW....you're wrong again....

I guess we will find out if it is possible to teach someone world history, economics, and how to think on ones feet in a few days. If they fail to prep her, it will be quite embarrassing.

I think I read somewhere that after the debate, they are going to make Ms. Palin more available to the public. If they fail to educate her it should make for interesting TV.

I bet I know who the cast of SNL will be voting for. They would have at least 4 more years of free material and they could just fire some of their writing staff.

The only time race has been an issue in this campaign , has been when the Demo-rats have brought it up..............................and you !

As will Joe "Paying Taxes is Patriotic" O-biden !

Funny you mention 'Big Mouth Joe' there Southwind.....I read the Dem's are rather up and down at the same time with Joey's flippant penchant for excessive verbal flatulence and have worries he may 'pass gass' during the debates....or on the other hand,he could victimize dear Sarah much like Hillary was during her debacle.

Pull my finger...... .

When was race brought up by Obama or the DNC?

Race and gender were an issue in this campaign the second Clinton and Obama tossed their hats into the ring. I am sure it has not escaped your attention that there has never been, in the history of the US a minority of any kind in the White House. To believe that Race and gender would not be an issue is fanciful at best.

Racism and sexism is alive and well in this nation. To think that a lot of people are not going to base their decision on that is just as fanciful.

The issues that Palin, Obama and Clinton face(d) are in part due to race and gender. Quayle never faced what Palin faced even though one could argue that Quayle was not much smarted/qualified than Palin is. Clinton is a very strong woman. I do not care for the way she ran her campaign but were she a man, she would never have been dealt with in te same manner. I am not sure about Obama. I think a large part of who he is and where he is is due to the fact that he is black. Having said that, it is by no means the only reason he is where he is. I think he has some very good ideas. I hope he will present a fresh look and a fresh perspective. he path this country has been on for the past generation or two has been the wrong one.

Yes race and gender are an issue. I do not believe it is an issue in the manner that you imply. I do not feel it has been used by Obama or Clinton (maybe the crying thing but I'm not sure about that) to further their goals. It is part of who they are. hey cannot deny being a woman or black. It is as much a part of who there are as you race/gender/nationality/religion .... etc is a part of who you are.

This is a historic election. A female or a black will become the first of their 'kind' to serve in the White House. Other nations have had women in power (Germany and Israel come to mind) long before we have and we are just now catching up.

"So what they're going to try to do is make you scared of me. You know, he's not patriotic enough. He's got a funny name. You know, he doesn't look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills, you know. He's risky."

Bingo

BTW- we had comments about voters having reservations voting for a black candidate....

Only 11% say they are not willing to vote for an African-American presidential candidate, with an equal number (11%) not sure.

Info

"You've got conservative whites here, and I think there are some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate," Rendell told the editorial board of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in remarks that appeared in Tuesday's paper.

These two percentages mean that 24% of the people interviewed would not or at least knew people that would not vote for someone because of the color of another man’s skin.
