The real money is for those Blue "Crew" hats, heard collectors will pay a lot to get one of them..... Now lets see how many of those I have left....

I took the last case of Orange hats home the day the name changed to Codfish Helicopter Corp, I had to, told I was going to be fired if we wore a ANYTHING that said OKie.

Well 407 m'boy
I collect hats, will it be in my best interest to interest you in a beerski? how bout 2?

i'll see winnie's 2 brewski's and raise him 2!!! all i want is a replacement orange hat since i fell prey to wild women in ft. st. john and lost mine!!!! i am such a weak man when it comes to the fairer sex... :( :( (mind you, that was in '77 and was hanging out with rev. reilly's engineer at the time!!!)

407 Driver ----- thanks much for the info bud. I wonder if a guy brings his own cane or if they will be supplied? :D

I'm guessing that Canes and Wheelchairs will be supplied CAP, after all, I'm a fairly young OK pup....and look at me

This reunion idea came up at Rocky Pearson's retirement party a few years ago. There were a lot of canes and walkers in the room. It made Al Eustis feel like a kid again with all his old mentors telling war stories.

It's good to see that someone is setting that up.

As for the hats, I have one of each and they are the pride of my collection. My brass Okie belt buckle was stolen in a break-in. If anyone sees it in a pawn shop, or if anyone has one for sale, please PM me.

407 Driver ----- I meant that statement about the canes in jest, but with a note of serious in there too. What I also meant was that holding it in August is perhaps not the best time. It can be busy during that month and it would be a shame if all those that want to attend can'r because of job responsibilities. Some are BM's and can control some of that. :D Sorry there 407. If a bolt of lightning struck me down, I couldn't have resisted saying that. ;)

To all those that know 407 Driver, you will kindly refrain from replying to this until he does. It otta' be good. :D

CAP: Some are BM's and can control some of that.

That's the same question you will get in the retirement home????? Including 407.

He,He.

I wondered about why they chose August for a helicopter company reunion too CAP, and I don't want to know what you "can and can't control". As BlackMac suggested, talk to the Duty Nurse at the rest home on that one 'Ol boy !

I supose they chose late August because most of the organizers are already retired, and most of the attendees are going to be retired or close to it.... plus in a normal fire year, things are on the down-hill-slide by August 20th.

Doesn't matter to me when it is, 'cause, as you say, I still can control some things, plus 2 Ex-OKie guys sign my paycheque, so will make sure that I get time-off.

Hope to see you there CAP, I'll take a turn pushing you chair around the Hall..... :D

Blackmac ----- comments duly noted and 'get stuffed'. Now that I know your 'handle', I can say that it's been a long time since Bell's Corners, circa 1970. Being not all that small at the time, I trust that you can still fit into a Huges 500. If memory serves me correctly, at the time you had some years on me yourself, so I'd be careful about any of those 'old folks' jokes, if I were you. Being ex-Navy, a reciting of all the verses you know of "The North Atlantic Squadron" would smooth over any possible ill feelings on my part. :D

407 Driver ------- I forgot about your employers, so you're 'in like flint', I would guess. My only reply to the 'wheelchair' comment is that I remember your profile didn't cast quite as big a shadow at one time, so perhaps pushing me around in a wheelchair would negate some of your wife's good cooking. I realize that 'barley sandwiches' have made a contribution also, but perhaps there will be another occasion for a work-out with me in the wheel chair. Remember though, that there may not be wheel-chair ramps and you may have to carry me up some steps here and there. As it's being held in BC, I just wanted to let you know that I am still hetrosexual and I trust you will remain the same in case the occasion should arise. :p B)

407D,

You really think DW will let you off that easily ;)

Noticed the reference to Al E. earlier, where & how is he?

Oh Ya, no problem. DW is the one who informed me of this reunion. RAE is still doing well, he's still working deep inside the huge finely tuned machine (known as CHL?) keeping the boys informed of all all safety concerns. I'm guessing that he'll be getting out soon, age 65 must be right around the corner. He still lives in the White Rock area and works out of YVR.

Al, Bombay & throwing fruit at the beach goers seems such a long time ago.........................
