While unions like the TWU sit back and whine about the members not participating, without telling them what they want them to participate in, AMFA is taking action.
The TWU wants you to participate as told, and when told.
Or else you will be removed from Office.
Good point Bob, but they want us to participate in the destruction of our profession via a Constitution that a Federal Judge has ruled you do not have a legal requirement to a vote on changes or amendments to your Labor Agreement.
The TWU, Jim Little, CIO, and twuer, want to extend their hand to those of you at the line stations. Before, the line mechanic could blame Tulsa for NOT signing enough cards to get a representational election, and now the TWU, Jim Little, and Art Luby can be blamed.
CIO, has asked many times what the TWU did to prevent the vote. I'll tell you, it was the TWU that submitted the Title 3 worker to prevent the vote. It was NOT required by law for them to submit that list and protest them. This was BY CHOICE. AA did not include them, the TWU DID!
FACT - A very Solid Majority of Title 1/Title 2 expressed a desire for a vote and the TWU deprived us of this vote by submitting Title 3 employees. Had the TWU not submitted these individuals, we would be voting. Instead, the TWU submits Title 3. They actually risk dues payers to stop the vote. Because we will either vote now and take those dues payers from the TWU, or we will resign the cards, including theirs and take the dues payers to AMFA.
Funny thing, I believe when we were negotiating, the TWU considered these employees with the "Joint Negotiations", not the M&R Group. And now, to prevent a vote, they are included with M&R.
Jim Little and the TWU and not credible, Jim Little has lied to the membership many times.
WE still stand a very good chance of winning on appeal, and we will gladly take the positions they have submitted and make them mechanic and related jobs. We will face serious seniority issues when we do, but thanks to the TWU, in the end, AMFA will grow even bigger than first thought by winning at AA.
