Northwest Airlines Announces New Jet Service Between Lansing, Mich., and Washington-Dulles

Daily Flights to Begin July 15
MINNEAPOLIS, June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Northwest Airlines (Nasdaq: NWAC - News) today announced that it is expanding service at Lansing, Mich., with new non-stop jet service to Washington's Dulles International Airport. Four weekday flights and three flights on Saturdays and Sundays will be offered beginning July 15.
The new service complements existing service between Lansing and Northwest's hubs at Detroit and Minneapolis/St. Paul, providing connections to hundreds of destinations worldwide served by Northwest and its global travel partners.
Northwest offers more service to Michigan than any other airline. In addition to Lansing and Northwest's WorldGateway hub at Detroit, the carrier serves Alpena, Flint, Grand Rapids, Houghton, Kalamazoo, Marquette, Muskegon, Pellston, Saginaw, Sault Ste. Marie, and Traverse City.
The new service will be operated with Northwest Airlink partner Pinnacle Airlines Corp.'s Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ), which seats up to 50 passengers. The flights are open for sale beginning June 12 at http://www.nwa.com , through travel agencies or by calling Northwest Airlines Reservations at 1-800-225-2525.
