Midwest Airlines Inc. and Northwest Airlines Corp. plan to announce as early as Wednesday that they have entered into a reciprocal frequent flyer agreement.
Oak Creek, Wis.-based Midwest and Eagan, Minn.-based Northwest had a frequent flyer agreement for several years until Midwest terminated the agreement in May 2003.
The fully reciprocal agreement will allow members of Midwest's frequent flyer program, known as Midwest Miles, to earn Midwest frequent flyer miles on Northwest and Northwest's long-time codeshare partner, Netherlands-based KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Midwest program members also will be able to redeem Midwest miles for travel on Northwest and KLM.
