Don Carty will not receive a severance package, the board of directors decided.

But what he will recieve is a $79,000 annual pension payment from the deferred benefit plan and a one-time, after-tax payment of $8.2 million from assets of the supplemental executive retirement program. Al Becker stated, he also gets medical and travel benefits. To bad all us low level ilk get nothing more than the boot on the way out.

You obviously haven''t seen a pilot''s retirement check, have you?

The $13.5 MILLION he receives as his take from the "supplemental executive retirement program" is just a slick avoidance of the word "Severance".

True Orwellian doublespeak.

Do you get severence if you quit?

Did he give two weeks notice?

Buddy, he''s been giving notice for the past two years . . . through his actions!
