So, where do you think US Airways will be moving to, if they don't move to Dallas? They supposedly sold the main building in Tempe already, going a little bit too fast, perhaps.

USAirways sold their 25% interest in the Tempe HQ building. They are still under lease until, I believe, 2016

Incorrect. US didn't sell its Tempe building. The 75% owner, a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) sold its share to a different REIT earlier this year: http://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2013/06/17/us-airways-headquarters-building.html?page=all

Do you have a link to some news supporting this post? I don't believe that US sold its 25% share, but perhaps it happened recently.

Selling (at least a substantial majority of) the building was the plan before ground was broken. I don't pretend to understand it, but apparently it's actually financially advantageous to buy land, build your building, sell it, and then lease it back.

Without the Merger what do you think the chances of the HQ ever moving to CLT are. I would assume not very since DP and half of the guys at HQ are living in the Phoenix Area, but CLT is the biggest hub and PHX as a hub isn't seeing much expansion at all.

HQ location has no relevance to station or hub size. The fact that CLT is the largest operation won't have any bearing on it. What WILL, however, is dollars. If CLT can make a sweet enough offer it's possible. They'd need to make one hell of a deal though. The company won't move to save $5000 a year, but if they can save $10 million...

CLT offered as many floors in the NationsBank building (Bank of America) for 20 years like at rent free or serious reduced rates back in the early 90's, but US turned it down as they didnt want to move all the IT stuff back then.
