Should we as union members demand our reps think-out-of-the-box in an effort to get the best deal, to help participate in viable enterprise, doing things like gaining corporate governance and helping to change the culture, being innovative, and making aviation history in employee management relationships!

This forward thinking kind of leadership will reward us!

Dog,

If all the labor groups, including my own would have bellied up months ago the pain was allot less, that is a matter of record.

Over time, requirements have increased and they are real, DUH.

The longer a group waits the worse is is going to get, again DUH, look at history this trend is right in front of your mug and available for your reading pleasure.

Guess you forgot when Dave said this is all we need in the first bankruptcy only to come back for seconds. Now thirds, ready for fourths?

Selective Memory?

That trend ended with ALPA and their solidarity meltdown. If the other bargaining groups used the ALPA (divide ourselves and surrender) method it would result in them getting worse proposals.

The difference lies in unity. The company scared the pilots because they have so much to lose. The people with much less to lose, or nothing to lose in the case of a large part of the IAM, can stand together and are doing it well. They are also seeing the benefits in what management is willing to offer them.

the pilots got scared because of people like 320autopilot......spineless so called unionists.
trend setters for the rest of their brothers in aviation....
