ASHOGHO, Afghanistan, Oct. 18 -- Airstrikes by NATO helicopters hunting Taliban fighters ripped through three mud homes in southern Afghanistan as villagers slept early Wednesday. At least nine civilians were killed, including women and children, residents and the provincial governor said.
