you gotta love the midatlantic emb-170! flt 1643 (a/c809) left phl gate 2 min late sat out for a few more minutes then returned to gate and took more than 2.5 hr delay and a plane switch to a/c 801 an dthat took a maintance delay as well! let me say this: midatlantic the most wonder savior of this outfit and yet we cant get the plane either in or out on time! then the return trip flt 1672 was suppose to leave at 140p but left at 245 as a result of another delay so mtc (contract) could sign off on the mtc that the plane had done in phl go figure!

From the two recent topics you started, I have surmised you love Mid-Atlantic and you really, really, love the IAM.

An occasional capital letter or punctuation mark would make your posts much easier to comprehend... and dare I dream, paragraphs?

I'm just teasing you, sounds like you've had a couple of fun days lately. I know its frustrating.

Hang in there, this will all flush away soon.

i love being teased! anyways it has been a joyous fun just waiting and waiting and then finally a mid atlantic emb-170! then a another delay and they say that this is the savior of this outfit! as for the iam what another joke!

robbed,

You must be a lot of fun at parties. I will go out on a limb and say you have, at most, 7 years with the company (judging from you posts in the other thread). While someone with 20 or 25 years may have a vested interest to stay on and constantly #### (hard to bail with that much into it), you seem like you could still move on somewhere else. Do yourself a favor and look into it. You'll feel a lot better.

i've been around for a while however i will not look for another job as my dad got this job for me despite he had worked fro delta for 32 yrs and raising a 2 yr old son with specil needs as a single parent let me tell how how tuff it is and that also includes the day care payments of about 100 or a little more. so you can feel free to look for a job but i will stay on because i believ that this airline will survive some how some way

Well then stop knocking the company! Any new piece of equipment, especially something like a plane is gonna have problems at first. Best thing you can do, is first have a COKE, then STFU and let people learn, and solve the problems that will come about because of this A/C. Wait two years and then start complaining about the 170s.
Thats the biggest problem with this Airline, a bunch of whiny cry babies.

Wait 2 years???? After 2 years of this there will be no passengers left to wait for.
I have seen several new A/C types brought into the fleet, but nothing as poor as the 170 has been so far. Call it what you like, but the stats speak for themselves.
By the way, where are the MDA stats anyway? The completion factor has to be in the 70% range, Maybe. OT performance anyone???? This makes Mesa and PSA look top notch in comparison.

I agree, lets see the stats!!! If the performance was so stellar it would be posted at the top of the daily U report!!!!

Anyone remember the problems we had when the F 100's came online? I believe we were the first to get that aircraft too. All kinds of software problems. We got thru it.

The E170 is also a brand new aircraft with only 1-2 other operators in the world. That being said, I did "book away" from MAA for a future trip to ATL ... the on-time percentage of PIT-ATL showed as 30 percent, so I booked thru CLT instead.

Probably has nothing to do with ATC.....[/quote]
I never said it did. I believe cancellations reduce the on-time performance number as well. I was assuming it was mainly due to maintenance and cancellations.

The F-100 was a big POS too. Horrid airplane. The only reason AA bought them was because they were cheap . . . . and over the objections of ops people. The beancounters won that one.

Paaaah-leease.

So what you are saying is that MDA is supposed to be perfect, never a delay, nor mechanical...? WOW, we should tell someone that, I bet they tought they were just supposed to operate like the rest of US Airways, errrr, you do know US has delays and mechanicals too, right?

Look, nothing is wrong with the EMB-170 or MDA, that having to grow at such a fast rate (a new plane and pilot class a week), and being the LAUNCH customer cannot account for. IF things ran perfect, then you would still not like MDA, still come up with a reason to knock MDA, and still be a bitter sad person.

So MDA will grow out of it's initial problems, and so will the EMB-170, as for u and your attitude towards MDA, well that is your problem, not Ours...

Have a nice day 😀

wow it sounds like you need to stop whining. i know for a fact that we have had a loty of angry pax in the last few weeks due to the MDA EMB-170 being delayed for hours not minutes and some of which we lost to other airlines i am not knocking this airline but they should have known that there would have been problems with the plane. why do you think that jetblue is waiting until next year? i dont think they will have as nearly the many problems that we currently have and the sad reality is that the company is squabbling away the pax to other airlines. we at my city have given more free roundtrip tickets due to mda delays and cancellations
