If this is a good pairing, how come USAirways.com doesnt show an E70 on this route? Wouldnt the schedule for April already have been finalized? Are they planning on subbing the E70 for the big jets they have showing on the route and using them elsewhere? I dont remember seeing MCO on any of the lists for the E70 routings for April. Can someone clarify please?

I might be wrong, but I believe that the PIT-MCO trip is for pilot training only.
you might be right since these are pilot pairings. i did not se that until now. but its published

Does anybody else find it odd that the SYR-PHL-MCI flights are under 1 flight number with direct service, while the return is 2 separate numbers. I do hope that as they grow MAA that they do make more flights multi-segmented to help with placement order in online reservations systems.

Here's a prediction, we'll see two aircraft types on the Shuttle routes - 737-300s in Shuttle config and EMB-170s.
Hasn't CCY already publicly floated this as a possibility? I may be mistaken, but I thought that was the case.

This would make a lot of sense on several levels. Using the E170 keeps U in the shuttle game while reducing costs in the "off hours." This would free up the A319 for more long-haul flying - also reducing costs while potentially increasing revenue for those A319 seats. I believe this would also free up some of U's DCA jet slots since the airline has a waiver to use the E170 on commuter slots, thus providing the ability to add more jet service to additional cities w/ mainline aircraft.

I just found the two PIT-MCO round-trips in Sabre effective April 18th. Another brilliant routing. I thought the 170 was for hi-yield business markets ?

GIven the requirements/guarantees of the hourly shuttle flights, can US afford to screw around with sending the Airbii off-site and praying that they get back in time?

Its one thing when a plane is running an hour behind hopping to/from hubs - but with the shuttle routes? That seems crazy.
