In an effort to increase passenger traffic, officials at Lansing''s Capital City airport surveyed several passengers last Oct thru Nov and I was surprised to see what the public''s feeling was towards US Airways service there. When asked their opinions of 8 top airlines US Airways came in second to last with only a 5.9 rating out of 10. I was kind of surprised to see this as US Airways always provides me with good service when I fly, and the top 3 are airlines that I will NOT fly because of past service issues. On another note, I heard that LAN is offering airlines a $100,000 bonus to any carrier to start service to any new destination.. I hope that US doesn''t pass up this great opportunity...Rumor has it DCA,PHL,IAD,and CLT are all possible cities, but the airport will not confirm anything.
