Mesa service so bad it kills someone

I'm confused. She was taken into police custody while running around the terminal screaming and yelling. She started screaming after she was denied boarding for arriving at the gate too late to board. She died--apparently from her own hand--while in police custody. Why is this any airline's fault?

and had she made it on the flight, maybe she would have kicked the emergency exit door out... then it would STILL be Mesa's fault

or she could have gotten beligerent with the flight crew and possibly slapped or hit a flight attendant... would STILL be Mesa's fault

or could have caused such a commotion that no one on the flight was able to enjoy it... STILL Mesa's fault

*bites lip*

Everyone hates the city of Mesa, Arizona but dude...don't take it out on Mesa Airlines...

The Customer was LATE

The Customer was on an US Airways Express flight operated by Mesa, paid to US Airways.

The Customer was LATE & DRUNK (That's an automatic denied boarding right there)

The Customer was unfortunate enough to take Mesa.

Last time I checked preventing an arrest was a misdemeanor as well...

seriously, this isn't funny. This was a person, a daughter, a mother a sister and she obviously needed help and did not get the type of care she needed in time. This is sad and I feel bad for her family for their loss. To use their tragic loss to try and make a point about a specifc company doesn't sit well with me.

I never thought of this situation as funny...Yes this person was a someone but that someone dropped the ball not Mesa...end of the discussion. My condolences to the family and everyone effected.

I think her family 'dropped the ball' as much or more than she herself did. Why the heck wasn't somebody accompanying her? Her companion/minder could've kept her out of the bar at Sky Harbor, she would've made her Mesa connection, and she would by down here at Sierra Tucson successfully drying out.
These folks aren't living in a trailer--they certainly could've afforded another ticket!

Especially with the Juniper Mastercard $99 Companion certificate.
