Merger Questions
ARLINGTON (theHub.com) - The following is a sampling of the merger-related questions posed by our employees, that we gathered from theHub “Merger News†section. We will feature more of your questions in the days and weeks to come, and also will include them in the Q&A on theHub.
Q: I am participating in the Early Out program. Will release dates be delayed? Will the Early Out program proceed as planned?
A: The merger announcement with America West is not expected to have any impact on employees who have elected to participate in the Early Out program. There are no changes to the schedule for Early Out release dates, and the program will proceed as planned.
Q: Will US Airways employees be eligible for travel on America West Airlines and if so, when?
A: We recognize how important pass travel is to you. While no final decisions have yet been made, once we receive regulatory approval for the merger, we anticipate quickly working through the employee travel issues and announcing a consolidated travel policy.
Q: What will happen to MidAtlantic?
A: We know that MidAtlantic employees have many questions. Our expectation is that we anticipate selling the EMB-170 aircraft. However, we don’t have any additional information to provide on this matter. When there are new developments, we will share them with you.
