Just wondering if WN had any mechanics in OKC and if so are there ever any openings? I will be relocating there as soon as the fiasco at AA ends and would consider it an honor to work for a quality airline.

Thanks Q. I guess it's Tinker or FAA as AAR is out of the question.

Hey Birdman, You could get on with SWA in Dallas. Find a temporary crash pad during probation and then just commute to work from OKC. We have numerous mechs commuting for work. With our numerous day trades we can do, also makes it much easier for commuting. Just a thought for you Birdman, another option for you to consider. Good luck. SWA will be hiring a min of 5-10 mechs per month thru July of 2013 for our new 4th line of maint.

The last AA mech you say you lost to SWA, how many years did he have with AA, and was he going to be affected by the rifs? I've been hearing we are getting alot from AA. Glad to hear the company is keeping to their word...

Thanks for the suggestions. I would be all for it but i'm just not sure I could convince the wife to buy into it. I will put a bug in her ear though.
The mechanic that is leaving has 1996 seniority and his fate could have been affected more adversely by a no vote if AA followed through with their threats. He made a wise decision and best of luck to him and others who may follow.

FAA is hiring:

Applicants must possess experience in one of the following airplanes: Beechcraft 300 and/or Beechcraft 350; Learject 60; Challenger 601/604/605; Hawker 125-800/C29A; Beech C/F 90 and/or C/F-90 GTI.

Low pay with shift work. Job security is good.
