Are we doing another tail inspection on the MD80s? Something about the pressure bulkhead tee fitting around the pylons? Whats up? Are there cracks or missing fasteners? I checked the FAA website and couldn't find any pertinent ads or pending ads in the database.

There are 10 to 11 MD-80's that have been inspected for "button" head hi-locks installed in "countersunk" fastener holes on the outer skin at the aft pressure bulkhead. This would probably would have been OK if the installers had used countersink fillers before they installed the "buttonheads",but they didn't. Anyway an ECO has been written to remove these "buttonhead" hi-locks and reinstall countersunk fasteners. It is not an FAA AD. It is just an internal AA engineering request.
