JetBlue requests 10 slots for LaGuardia Airport

Analyst: "The JetBlue product will sell very well out of LaGuardia"

NEW YORK (Reuters) - JetBlue Airways Corp. filed with the U.S. Department of Transportation for 10 slots to begin service from New York's LaGuardia Airport in spring to expand its customer base, the low-fare carrier said on Wednesday.

well I can see that if usair wants to sell an airport slots, i guess they now know who to ask--JETBLUE!! I'm sure that they'd say Hey JETBLUE, would you like to have our gates!?

Jet Blue most certainly will get those slots they are requesting. I think this really puts significant pressure on Dave & Co. Jet blue will run a bunch of flights to florida, boston, long beach, oakland, denver and probably san juan.

What does US Air plan to do about this???? Are they going to continue to cut and run????? Jet Blue and Southwest are going after the east coast market in a huge way.

If they do LGB, OAK, DEN and SJU it will be on the weekend only.

I'd expect to see Florida, IAD, and don't be surpised to see them going into ORD if they can get the gates. To further drive AA nuts, I predict LGA-ORD on B6.

Sorry, but these are not gloom stories that USA320Pilot is pulling out of his backside, these are the sad reality of the present day challenges that we face. The sharks smell blood in the water and are getting into a feeding frenzy.
