Look out illegal aliens!

I've got a better idea...Lets force them to build that border fence then throw their arses back across!

I have no sympathy for the housing Industry, the builders have exploited cheap labor and now are stuck with an over abundance of unsold property........TFB

Since this will create even more crowded prisons, perhaps we should force the criminals to build their own prison confinements. And since there seems to be a consensus among most conservatives that their work is generally shoddy, this will force them to "sleep in their made beds." Of course, we would need to reinforce it with American craftsmanship to ensure that these individuals do not make an easily escapable prison.

Every illegal alien caught should be forced to do 6 months in jail. (then deported)

Yea, that's a real smart idea. Do you want to re-think that idea? There is an saying that goes something like "Better to be thought a fool than to open your moth and remove all doubt". I believe your statement falls into that category. I'll let you sleep on it over night.

Hint: Think of tax payer money and why you would waste it on imprisoning people who will be deported.

Brilliant idea. Now where are we going to get the resources to do this? Are we goint to take funding away from student loan programs, rebuilding the countries infrastructure, armored vehicles for soldiers in combat zones or from somewhere else? Or do you purpose spending even more money that the country does not have?

Would money the country does not have include that spent on social services/infrastructure that illegal aliens currently utilize?

The process is now in full force in certain border towns with and astonishing success rate. It is used as a deterrent and it WORKS! Money that would be paid to the government in lost taxes, schools, social services and the 25 Billion sent to Mexico tax free every year. http://www.house.gov/garymiller/IllegalsCost2005.html For every one illegal jailed, it will change the mind for 100 about entering the country illegally.:

LOU DOBBS TONIGHT has learned Border Patrol Chief David Aguilar and Texas Congressman John Culberson have agreed to support a zero- tolerance policy. That means the prosecution of every single illegal alien caught crossing the Southern border. As Casey Wian reports, the agreement stems from an apparent misstatement by a top Border Patrol agent.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

CASEY WIAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Two weeks ago, Laredo, Texas, chief Border Patrol Agent Carlos Carrillo told a local town hall meeting -- quote -- "I have said it before, and I will say it again. The Border Patrol's job is not to stop illegal immigrants. The Border Patrol's job is not to stop narcotics. The Border Patrol's mission is not to do any of those things. The Border Patrol's mission is to stop terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering this country."

Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo called for his resignation. Border Patrol agents were outraged.

T.J. BONNER, PRESIDENT, NATIONAL BORDER PATROL COUNCIL: I was quite shocked and baffled to see that in print. And I'm sure that he meant something different than that, but it sure didn't come across well to the rank and file.

WIAN: Sector Chief Carrillo says, "It's painfully obvious to me that I could have done a better job of articulating my talking points."

He also wrote a clarification letter to "The Laredo Morning Times," saying that, while stopping terrorism is the Border Patrol's priority, his agents continue their traditional mission, apprehending nearly 52,000 illegal aliens and 62 tons of narcotics this year alone.

Now Texas Congressman John Culberson says Carrillo has agreed to adopt the Operation Streamline zero-tolerance policy already in place in Del Rio, Texas. There, all illegal aliens caught crossing the border face prosecution and six months in jail.

REP. JOHN CULBERSON ®, TEXAS: I now can report for the first time here on Lou Dobbs' show that I have also secured the same commitment from Border Patrol Chief David Aguilar, has promised me that he is going to work not only to support Chief Carrillo in implementing zero tolerance in Laredo, but Chief Aguilar has now committed that he is going to implement zero tolerance from Brownsville to San Diego.

WIAN: The Border Patrol confirms the agreement, with the caveat that Congress must provide more resources, for example, prosecutors, marshals, and jail staff.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

WIAN: That's a big if. But Culberson, who serves on the Appropriations Committees for the Departments of Homeland Security and Justice, says he is confident it can be done.

Supporters say Operation Streamline has been a dramatic success in Del Rio, reducing illegal alien apprehensions by 38 percent last year and 52 percent this year -- Christine.

(or you could weigh the potential cost to you or your family if they should join the ranks of the 21,900 Americans killed or murdered by illegal aliens since 2000. How expensive is that to you?)
I should make that 21,902. as two 28 year old film production employees/ citizens were killed in Hollywood by a drunk illegal alien running a red light on Sat.

And you don't think they would require services sitting in jail for six months?

Yes, but in this case there is light at the end of the tunnel in that it would be a finite amount...a precursor to their eventual deportation and thus ending need for said services as well as an intangible but very real deterrent effect it provides. I doubt we agonize over having to pay police departments vs just living with crime's cost...comparing spreadsheets and all.

The 'real' deterrent would be to jail the employers for 6 months.
THEN, there will be change!

Employers who are found guilty should serve mandatory sentences. The cost of the deterrent is FAR FAR less than the Billions they cost once across the boarder.

Moreover, I don't know about you, but I don't have a price tag for my loved ones or my life. And if you think it won't happen to you...so did many of the 21,902 dead Americans across the country.

I find it amazing that people are worried about the cost of Jail vs. 21,902 Dead Americans (on American soil from illegal aliens) while the War in Iraq has cost 600 BILLION and almost 5,000 American lives with 35,000 injuries.

I don't care if the cost was 50 Billion dollars (for jails) if it saved just one life of an American citizen...and that one life could very well be YOURS.
