WHAO!! This morning I checked my system seniority #among the FA group and from between Sept 1 2004 and November 1 2004, I have jumped 300 spots. I knew people were leaving, but didnt think in these large numbers. I know about 100 were senior to me taking the recent VSIP.
 
That's why the PIT President admited to the media that many folks are leaving system wide.

Caselveter contridicted the statement and said only about 20 or 30 are leaving.

If AFA T/A ratifies, there will be hundreds and hundreds maybe thousands that leave with the furlough package.

Many in our group are done with this job and working under this type of work place pressure and anxiety. They've had it, its over. The concessions bother them, however, not as bad as the disrespect they receive from the managers and supervisors in inflight department. It comes from the top...Total disconnect.

No one deserves to work under that kind of disregard and abuse from a company such as this one.

IMO, this is not a good place to work and have a future.

Do you think they would need to call back some inv. furloughed flight attendants if this continues? Is the company not asking them to fly more hours as they continue to walk out the door? Best of luck to all
 
That is not a possibility...its a probability.

The AFA has on the table an open furlough to any f/a to leave with a furlough package...that alone will create many, many f/as to leave this job.

I know, I wrote it. The company shows interest in it and its on the table. AFA and the company are just going back and forth on the amount of money to leave. Unemployment is included.

I know the company wanted to dismantle the work force, therefore, it will incentivise those who want to leave to leave, and those who want the job no matter what (usfliboi) to stay.

That will be the piece that will allow for ratification.

CWA and IAM, their boxed in a corner. If the company doesn't offer their folks something similar, their T/A will most certainly fail and they will most certainly request "self help". Can't balme them one bit, and I would join them.

The real matter is this, if the company motions to abrogate, and all the labor groups ratify with the gun to their heads...how profitable to you think this company will be with a disconnected, disgrunteld, workforce with shattered morale???? Huh?

Prediction: They won't make one penny, but continue to bleed until they are out of existence.

This managment collectively is too stupid to see it along with Dr. Bonehead, and BOD gang.
 
Actually, the big retiree number is Jan 1, only because folks thought that their retirment medical would be protected..

Not so.

So many will rescind. You can rescind your application 24 hours before commencement.

For those INVOL furloughees who will be recalled back...make sure you read the proposal or agreement real, real good. YOu might want to go through MAA first, , otherwise if you bypass MAA, you will be capped and frozen at a 6 year pay rate, if that ratifies on mainline until amendable date...2010
 
just curious when do you think these invol furloghed people will get called back. will it be soon or more like in the next few years. just curious as to what you think pit bull. or anybody else. this is the first i have heard of this happening. thanks.
 
Thanks Pitbull for your response. Many of us are so confused, that it is almost impossible to make a rational decision
