Judge refuses to lift US Airways maintenance ban

Judge modified his earlier order to allow the airline to have two jets that were already flown to Alabama to be serviced there, airline has said it will appeal

PITTSBURGH (AP) - A federal judge has refused to lift a court order that prevents US Airways from farming out maintenance work to Alabama for 10 of its Airbus jets at Pittsburgh International Airport.

PITTSBURGH (Post-Gazette) - U.S. District Court Judge Robert Cindrich held firm to his inclinations yesterday by continuing to bar from subcontracting heavy maintenance on 10 Airbus jets to an Alabama firm with one exception: Work on one jet already stripped down in an Mobile, Ala., facility will be allowed to be completed.
