It seems that JetBlue is adding flights to FLA,DEN, out of Boston these are all cities that we should of been flying too for some time now this airline will be so far behind that there will be no return.

HAY DAVE DO YOU THINK THERE COMING TO BOSTON TO LOSE MONEY ....?

WAKE UP YOU LOOSER YOUR BECOMING JETBLUE AND LUV'S LUNCH AND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO EAT UNLESS YOU WAKE UP........

BOS is being handed over to the competitors..a couple nonstop flights to the Carribean, the shuttle, and the hubs are not reasons for anyone here to stick with US. Same with LGA I think. They evidently think BOS and LGA don't matter much in their plan.

...not to mention JetBlue's flights to Long Beach from BOS, America West's nonstop flights to LAX.

Come on already, Don't you guys see this is the BIG PLAN.

We build up cities, turn them over to Express and then pull out most Mainline flights. Once the BIG JETS are gone, our Competition comes in adds BIG JETS and then has the Customers we once had.

Please Dave, use our Assets at these Cities or Sell them. Atleast if you SELL SELL SELL, we will last a little while longer. Maybe even Buy enough time to get your Little Jets into some of these cities.

I thought I read somewhere of U possibly getting rid of gates at BOS...seems like they just finished building the new ones. Now they have a great facility and don't use it. I keep looking to see where JetBlue is going to be, but haven't been able to figure it out. It'd suck to be waiting for my US flight to FLL through PHL, and seeing a JetBlue plane beside me knowing it'll get there at least couple hours quicker.

There was a time back in the old days when we even flew from Boston to Frankfurt. The below excerpt was from an article back in 1995.

With the amount of service we have in BOS, consideration should be given
to initiating service to some of these long distance destinations once again.

USAIR PLANS SYSTEM CAPACITY CUT
USAir said it will cut capacity by 5 percent, or 240 daily flights, by July as another part of its effort to regain profitability.

At the same time, USAir said it would add 70 new flights, including service from Philadelphia and Boston to Frankfurt and from Charlotte to the West Coast.

Many of the planned cutbacks will be on routes where passenger loads have been consistently low, explained company Chairman Seth Schofield. A number of these routes will be taken over by USAir Express carriers. Especially hard hit will be intra-Florida routes currently served by jets, a carrier spokesman said.

By July, point to point flights will comprise less than 10 percent of the carrier's system, USAir said. The new capacity plan instead will emphasize the core strength of the carrier's hub system, built around Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Philadelphia and Baltimore.

Schofield said the substitution of regional aircraft in numerous markets "will enable us to remain a part of communities that USAir has been serving for years." The reshuffling of routes will result in a savings of more than $100 million annually, he said.

I understand that the Delta Shuttle is also using a couple of our old gates but i dont know. Dave's Plan is to keep getting smaller and smaller while our competitors are growing with BIG JETS and then there wont be anything left of us!

Has the idea of decreasing flights at PIT and increasing the flights at BOS ever been discussed? It seems that point to point in BOS makes sense, and some connections could be handled by express in BOS.

When Delta moves into their new terminal at Boston, Terminal C, where Delta is today, will have plenty of empty gates. I'm guessing that jetBlue will move their operations to C and grow significantly. Boston is going to be the center of low-fare
growth in New England for the foreseeable future.

Same is happening in PIT, we pulled out of direct markets and other carriers filled the void. Most notably PIT-MIA, AMR now services MIA with direct service out of PIT, we used to have four direct flights and now we are down to one. What is the reasoning "Dave"? Seems there must be a market if AMR is filling in to fill the void.

Jetblue will be using terminal D to start and then move to Terminal C when Terminal A construction is complete. I did hear through good sources that USAirways offered jetBlue gates in terminal B but has passed for now.

Wonder why JetBlue passed on OUR GATES? Just like contract work, our comapany wants way more then the market rates. Facilities is a joke, Marketing is a joke, I could go on but whats the point............

Hmmm...

My understanding was that we had a dedicated gate in E with use of a second there...until the new terminal A opens, where we will have multiple gates.
