Interesting bid thrown out from JB. They did make it look appealing to the Spirit investors for sure. If JB and Spirit agree to an agreement would that get SWA looking at Frontier again? Remember when we offered a bid for Frontier before folks, maybe now is the time again as SWA said they would look at Frontier at a later date. This could get interesting; stay tuned...

Why are you posting an Alaska Airlines flight cancel article for this?....

SWA needs to stay focused on its own operations... or focused on others who might be better targets for acquisition.

Alaska becomes significantly smaller than Jetblue if the Spirit deal goes forward. Just sayin'...

I hear ya E. Alaska rumors may get alive again. One big thing SWA will need to maintain and grow is their FLA market before JB slips in and takes advantage of SWA asleep at the wheel. Also SWA needs to focus on Las Vegas too. In the article below SWA needs to be alerted on Orlando, FLL, Las Vegas etc... JB would double it's current size with this merger. Maybe SWA could throw a bid in for Spirit? Frontier?? Or start taking a look again at Alaska???
