Low-fare air carrier JetBlue Airways Corp. said on Monday that February traffic rose 25.3 percent, helped by increases in both capacity and the number of departures.
For the month, revenue passenger miles -- where each mile measures one paying passenger flying one mile -- jumped to 1.69 billion, up from 1.35 billion for the same period last year.
Capacity for the month expanded to 2.02 billion available seat miles, up 25.1 percent from 1.62 billion available seat miles last year.
Load factor, which measures the percentage of seats filled by passengers, nudged up to 83.4 percent, from 83.3 percent last year.
