What's new

JB and Spirit may get another chance at merging

Now is the time to do it as this admin is much more business friendly.

Reading the article you shared makes the case that the old SWA Business model is also dead. Sounds to me as if Elliot Management saw the writing on the wall. The disruptor model is dead. Scott Kirby keeps saying it and I think Ed Bastian has also mentioned it.

Anyway about your article who knows. These musical chair articles have reached the point of ridiculousness. Who’s going to dance with who.

It does appear as though it is dying out. At least SWA is taking steps to stay in the game though. Like changing open seating, bag charges, reward point system, and other perks. Also now opening new Lounges starting in Honolulu. And of course Dallas Love Field will get them as well.

And the best way to gain market share is to build a lounge in Hawaii. SW known to be the biggest domestic carrier in the usa builds a lounge in hawaii where customers will love their layover. It spells premium and top notch branding.

I hope you realize it was sarcasm. The end is near. Mostly accept the fate as most of your executives were fired for making the wrong decisions from other airlines. You can keep picking up the scraps. Major airlines will not hire those rejects. As of this date, no one hires or picks up an executive from Southwest. Hope that gives you confidence about your future. Maybe you can convince your executive team to hire that indian dude that got fired from AA to give you some diversity, Vasu Raja former chief commercial offier at AA. 😂

Its not really a risk, cause it aint like yall got a sweet commercial that people love. All the commercials sw puts out are thoughtless and ghetto, trying to be funny when its not funny.
