An IRS staffer who had no clue that her work e-mail was being audited got canned for sending out an anti-Barack Obama message in the heat of the 2008 presidential campaign.

Cruz Salas was axed from her job of 30 years last month after supervisors at the agency's Manhattan office discovered she e-mailed six people a message falsely calling Obama a Muslim.

Just because one was born in a Muslim country, had a Muslim father, appeases every Muslim nation doesn't really mean one would be considered a Muslim. Besides the silly girl didn't know that much like dispensing medical advice, he only plays one (a doctor, Muslim, etc) on TV.

First off one less IRS Thug is good news.

Second off she violated the Hatch Act. A law that was no doubt written by Conservative Senator Orin Hatch, a conservative Republican.

Forgetting for a moment the scar upon Freeedom and Liberty aka the IRS, suppose it was someone from oh say the BATF critisizing Bush would your moral outrage be the same or is it only directed against those you disagree with?

Must be nice to have flexible morals values and ethics. I was never able to pull that off. I guess it's a personality flaw that disqualifies me from being a politician and relegates me to internet blogs

It wasn't so much a statement on the legality of the incident, more so the Irony of it all.

Since his dad lived there I am guessing the residency part was not a big deal. And I am pretty sure they did not do any type of back ground check to verify his religion. People here in the US use bogus addresses in order to allow their kids to go to better schools all the time. Dad lied on the app. Big surprise there. Red herring.
