Seems the IAM may be leaving the AFL-CIO.
Since their last Convention they have lost 25% of their members.
The biggest benificiary of the IAMs decline has been the TWU!!!
Maybe they are sick of the TWUs policy of concessions for members strategy while hiding behind the "No Raid" clause?
So, to all you TWU adhereants out there, if they leave the AFL-CIO are they still a union?
"In June, Andy Stern, leader of the Service Employees International Union, said the federation's approach was outdated and failing."
All he needed to do was look at the TWUs performance over the last twenty years. As CIO brags that the TWU has picked up "35000" members he fails to mention that the vast majority of the new TWU members make around minimum wage with no benifits.
