Have a late direct flight to Pittsburgh, Monday Aug. 29th. Should I be concerned about planes getting to Ft. Myers from other cities for this flight.......and/or do I need to be concerned about landing in Pittsburgh with Hurricane Irene off toward Philadelphia? Thanks!

I would think by Monday the system should be about back to normal but you never know. Depending on what cancellations take place over the next few days and getting the planes and crews back on schedule will be the key.
If in doubt, call Reservations, although you may be on hold a while with all that is going on. My guess is you should be ok. PIT is west of PHL and RSW(Ft Myers) should be running just fine. Stay in touch with the local AirTran folks in Ft Myers for updates over the weekend. Good Luck!

Thanks - I did call Reservations as I was going to change my departure until Wed. that week, but the change fees would be in effect. I'm needing the direct as I will have my dog with me and would rather not worry about what might happen between now and Monday, but not for $75 + !

I'll try this a second time as the Hotel Internet dumped my response. Imagine that, a 'Wireless connection'!!! If they didn't offer a waiver on the Change Fees, then they believe things will go ok for you. If not, or things change, they will. Just stay in touch and watch the Weather Channel and the AirTran site for updates. I've been following this storm, like many others, and I think you'll be ok! I wish you well in your travels :)
