HP to go Peanut less on most flights...Must fly PHX-JFk to get nuts!

An 18 year flight attendant veteran of HP told me yesterday that peanuts are being eliminated this summer and that if you want to get peanuts, you need to fly PHX-JFK in coach for that service. No more meals to JFK in Y class, nuts only and no nuts to LAX, SFO, SEA, AUS, ABQ, etc... Who else can confirm the dry cabin approach?

I thought meals were available for purchase on longer hauls. Supposedly the ''pay to eat'' concept was a rousing success--if imitation by other carriers (HP was the first to try it) is any indication, it must be!
