Houston Hobby contsruction

What is the timetable for HOU to be completed? Will SWA occuppy all of the new central concourse? What will happen to the present old bus station.....errr......concourse(could those ceilings be any LOWER,reminded me of T2 at O''hare) on the east side? Is the terminal itself slated for upgrades? I did not notice any construction in the SWA ticket area.

The construction timetable keeps getting pushed back - but the construction is moving along a pretty fast pace. This is the lastest info that I have been told (I work DL ramp at HOU)...

As the new central concourse gets closer to completion and SWA takes over more of the gate space in the new concourse then the other airlines that fly into HOU will be moved to concourse A - after moving into concourse A then concourse B and C will be demolished to allow completion of Central Councourse. The other airlines will operate gates on the west side of concourse A and construction will begin on the eastside of A for the new A concourse for other airlines.

SWA currently has two ticket counters at HOU - the new central concourse has a huge new ticket counter area and as more and more flights move to the Central Concourse the ticket counter by A will be phased out. The main terminal area will be undergoing a total renovation so everything will resemble the concourses.

The last date I heard was the Central Concourse was going to be completed and SWA totally moved in by summer 2005. The Central concourse is strictly for SWA and the new A concourse is being built with expansion plans in mind for other airlines to come into Hobby.
