is this true.....or an urban legend.

The latest rumour floating around res is that our new CFO Mr. Stanley uncovered some "hidden" millions in the companies books and has resigned, not wanting anything to do with the situation.

Has anyone heard anything?

Perhaps "hidden" millions of losses. I really doubt UAIR has spare cash laying around.

Heard from a couple of friends in res that they saw something on the CNN ticker this afternoon about this subject.

I can't find anything. Not on google, not on cnn. I see the reports of outsourcing reservations. i see the reports of discontinuing service at evansville, in.

I heard yesterday the bankruptcy judge found 110mil in pension funds that were not reported in Bcourt. Today someone in res said they saw on the news they found 110mil in an offshore account. Unsure if either is true but either one of those would make me happy. Maybe the judge would see the big picture and realize who's really bringing this company down.

There is a rumor that supposedly there is a secret bank account with $150 million that the company kept from the bankruptcy judge. Has anyone heard this?

you are wrong...its reported to be 250 million.....and if its true...someone at U management will do jail time for fraudulent reporting of assets....you can bank on that(no pun intended).

No, you are both wrong!

It's a billion dollars. No, make that $3 billion. Yep. $3 billion.

And the signature card at the bank was signed by BBB, San T. Claus and E. Stir Bunny.

:D :D

Yep. Hidden cash. Uh-huh. Happens all the time in repeat bankruptcy cases involving multi-billion dollar companies. The execs hide hundreds of millions of dollars in secret bank accounts.

Yes...If this is the case...

I believe it could be a criminal act, if they lied to a bankruptcy judge...About hiding assets....

Because, it can affect how the judge determines how he decides on this bankruptcy case..It can affect all the creditors....

Could be another Enron fiasco....

Was this reported in the media?....Does anybody have any more details on this?

Actually, if any of it is true ...about the possible crime of hiding assets from a BK judge...

This could also be an involvement by the IRS, if they are fudging on their income/profits/books....

The IRS could be an interested party to this , if it is true...
