Helicopters fight blazes in dry scrub (The New Zealand Herald)

Helicopters were called out to two grass and scrub fires in the lower North Island yesterday as the Fire Service warned of extreme dry conditions. A blaze broke out at Whareama River in Wairarapa around 11am and a helicopter with water bucket was called out to bring it under control.
