I think United codeshares on these flights but doesnt consider them Express. They fly as Continental Connection like CommutAir (who, by the way, flies a bunch of planes still in the US Airways paint job from two years ago when they were USX).

Now that Mesa has taken their Dash 8''s out to DEN to play for UA, Air Midwest has taken over all of the intra Florida and Bahamas service. Only problem is, they arent able to fly to the Bahamas so they have been using Gulfstream to cover the Bahamas routes from Miami and Palm Beach. Today though, Gulfstream starting showing in the availability as extra sections when the original Air Midwest flights were cancelled from Tampa to Miami, West Palm and Pensacola, so is Air Midwest just down a couple of planes and using Gulfstream charters to cover for them or are we going to be seeing Air Midwest pull out of Florida and Gulfstream become a new Express carrier? Anyone with info?
At least they got someone to cover the flights and havent continued the cancel all day policy that Mesa seemed to have the last month they were here.

I bet there are more regional airlines in this country that are US Airways Express than arent.

Isn''t Gulfstream contracted to fly as CO Express in-state?

Yes they are. Some (or most) of their planes have the CO paint job. Some of the flights also operate as UAExpress flights. Someone said that the 3M planes they were using to the Bahamas had the tail painted white. I didnt get a chance to see what the planes today looked like.

Nothing would suprise me when it comes to Gulfstream. Tom Cooper has his hand in everything. If He can make a few bucks, you can bet he''s right there.

UA does code share with Gulfstream since we don''t have express down there.

Am I to understand that someone is farming out their flying by chartering 3M?

Does anyone know if they are still putting foreign nationals on student visas with minimum flight time in the right seat?
