Hi,
I don't know if you are a customer or employee, but if you are a custormer, then reservations should be able to tell you what kind of plane you will be flying on. As for flight plans, I am sure this is now part of the pilot's security issues and can't be given out. Even though I am a flight attendant and not a pilot, I know a lot of different factors go into a flight plan (such as weather), so they are not filed days in advance.
Maybe there are some general areas that some of the pilots online can share with you.

When i said "type of plane", i meant which particular plane (not 767 but rather what is the registration number of the plane) also, i dont need the flight plans days in advance, only the same day

Skyyggoddess is absolutely right. This day and age revealing exact data regarding flight plans is a breach of security.

Information regarding the type of plane for any scheduled flight is available on most airlines' websites. In addition, several flight tracking sites offer information about the type of plane used and, slightly delayed, actual flight information such as speed, heading, location, and altitude, as well as the actual take off and expected touchdown times. Some of those sites have maps showing the approximate flight plans.

Lastly, you may enjoy the Los Angeles International Airport AirportMonitor site, which shows actual air traffic patterns to, from and around LAX on a slight time delay basis.

Would you mind sharing with us why you need such specific operational information?

Such information is available only to airline employees who have the need to know it. Planes are generally are not assigned to particular flight segments until a day or two in advance of trips. Substitutions may take place until the last minute, based upon operational needs and conditions.

If you travel with a notebook computer and have internet access at airports, you can look up the nose number or the registration number, near the tail, and satisfy your curiosity at that time. Otherwise, you just may may have to wait until you arrive at your destination.

Even the same day, your "research" would often be an exercise in futility. Last minute a/c substitutions happen everyday. Besides, the only way you would be concerned about a particular a/c's certification is if you believed that one or more airlines were flying uncertified a/c. Doesn't happen in this country.

Sorry, call me suspicious, but I just don't buy your "reasons" for wanting this information. There is no reason for a passenger to need or care about a particular a/c's certification.

Folks, here is another Newbie that is asking questions that may be inappropriate. Please be very, very, very careful in your response. Perhaps the moderator should close this thread.

I think more than sufficient info has been received regarding this question. Topic closed.
