According to the morning news, the employees, instead of calling in sick, are volunteering for EXTRA duty over the holidays.

The email I received stated the "sickout" is planned between the dates of November 25-28. Now, it has been extended to the end of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend on November 30, 2003. Just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it will not take place. It's like CHAOS tm, you do it when you feel like.

I applaud all the hard working flight attendants and all of the American Airlines employees who are coming to work over the Holiday...just like I am. You are an asset to the company. Let us not let a few bad apples try to take this airline down. Happy Thanksgiving to all. And I wish all of the people out on furlough a safe and Happy holidays come back soon I hope

Too bad the "company" doesn't appreciate it, and could care less. With company heads already dropping hints about their desire to return to the employee payroll trough for more givebacks, it would appear that P.T. Barnum was right . . . there's an AA employee, um - I mean .... sucker born every minute!
